Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman are seen for the first time in Bombshell, a new movie covering the Fox News scandal surrounding the late Roger Ailes.
The women, who play Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson respectively, appear in a gripping trailer which Lionsgate dropped on Wednesday showing the women in an incredibly tense scene where they barely say a word to each other.
The movie will focus on the sexual harassment allegations that led to Ailes resignation in 2016 and the women who were brave enough to speak out against him.

Margot Robbie also stars, playing Kayla Pospisil, a character which is not based on anyone in real life, unlike Charlize and Kidman’s roles.
The clip sees Pospisil walking through the newsroom before entering an elevator to be joined by Kelly moments later.
The women stand at the back, on opposite sides of the elevator, appearing tense and weighed down by their secret.
They travel between floors where Carlson is next to enter.
Carlson inhales sharply, seemingly about to say something to Kelly but thinks better of it.

Moments later she turns to look back at the news anchor and says ‘Whew, hot in here’ but Kelly says nothing in response and just glances at Pospisil.
Ailes resigned from Fox in 2016 after numerous women spoke out about harassment. He died the following year
Kelly watches the two women as they walk out into the office and appears to be mulling something over in her head as the elevator doors close.
The trailer does not give a glimpse of Ailes, who is portrayed by John Lithgow.
Kate McKinnon plays an FNC producer who is seen at the beginning of the trailer watching Pospisil as she walks by to see what’s going on.
Carlson, 53, was the first – filing a lawsuit on July 6 2016 claiming sexual harassment and accusing Ailes of firing her after she rejected his advances.
Three days later, the author of a 2014 biography of Ailes that included the claim that the Fox CEO had offered a producer a raise in exchange for sex in the 1980s, reported accounts of sexual harassment from six other women.

Although Ailes initially held on, the predatory boss was finally ousted after Kelly and Janice Dean, among others, came forward with harassment allegations of their own.
Kelly admitted that she was sexually harassed by Ailes and wrote about it her 2016 book Settle for More.
Kelly claimed Ailes would make sexual remarks during meetings and that he once attempted to kiss her during a one-on-one meeting.
Transformation: Charlize is seen at an event in November 2018
Gretchen settled with 21st Century Fox for a reported $20million.
Bombshell, scripted by Charles Randolph and directed by Jay Roach, is slated for release December 20.
A separate mini series, titled The Loudest Voice, aired on Showtime in June and focused on the last decade of Roger’s career at the network, starring Russell Crowe as Ailes and Naomi Watts as Carlson.
