Coldplay Drop Two New Tracks ‘Daddy,’ ‘Champion Of The World’

Coldplay have shared two new songs, “Daddy” and “Champion of the World,” from their new double album, Everyday Life, which dropped on November 22.

“Daddy” is accompanied by a video created by Aardman Animations and directed by Åsa Lucander.

Meanwhile, frontman Chris Martin said he wanted to acknowledge Scott Hutchison from Owl John on the song “Champion Of The World.”

“He had a song called Los Angeles, Be Kind, which I love. When I first heard it, I thought it was going to go one way; but it went another,” Martin said in a statement.

“Anyway Champion Of The World is the song that came from following the other path, and that’s why Scott is a co-writer on this song,” he added. “Today is also his birthday. So happy birthday Scott and Thankyou for your beautiful music, wherever you are.”

The alt-rock band performed two live broadcasts from Jordan on YouTube on November 22, playing both halves of their new double-album.
