Curtis Pritchard: Love Island 2019 star’s family ‘couldn’t say’ if Amy move is a game plan
Curtis Pritchard, 23, and his Love Island 2019 flame Amy Hart, 26, hit a major bump in the road when it came to their relationship this week. The Ballroom dancer had his head turned by villa newcomer Jourdan Riane, 24, when the model entered the villa after the girls left for Casa Amor. However, having been turned down by Jourdan (who decided she preferred Danny Williams, 21), Curtis chose to stay coupled up with Amy when she returned to the villa along with the rest of the female islanders and a few hunky new arrivals in tow. The blonde bombshell was devastated when she learned her beau had not only snogged another girl during one of the challenges but had also offered to couple up with her while she was gone.
Last night saw an explosive showdown between the pair, with Amy branding Curtis a “liar” as she was left heartbroken.
“You knew that this would break my heart,” she told him. “You knew it would break my heart and you still did it.”
After many tears, Amy Hart decided she “needed a break” from her “half-boyfriend” Curtis Pritchard in order to decide if she wanted to continue on with their relationship.
Now, in an interview with The Mirror, Curtis’ aunt Sandra, who is the sister of his mother Debi Pritchard, has said she can’t be certain whether or not the latest low point of Amy and her nephew’s rollercoaster is part of a plan to increase their chances of reaching the final.
Asked whether she thought Curtis had a game plan to win his love back and, in the process, gain more backing from viewers, she said: “Who knows? I mean, there’s a lot happens in there that we don’t actually see.
“We see a snapshot of such long days together,” Sandra told the publication. “Even when you see the Unseen Bits you don’t see much of exactly what goes on.
“Who knows that(sic) they’re actually told to do or what not to do? I could not actually say, to be honest,” she continued.
Curtis’ aunt went on to say she believed he has real feelings for flight attendant Amy.
However, she admitted she would “like to think” he would stay in the villa even if she left.
She also said she thought the public might vote Curtis out in light of recent events with Amy but that she hoped they see he is a good person at heart.
“I know he’s torment(sic) by this because he’s a good, true person and he would be mortified by the fact he would be hurting Amy.
“I know he’d want to put it right,” she added.
Tonight, it appears the dust still won’t have settled following last night’s dramatic showdown between the pair.
Amy is still upset about the situation in light of Curtis confessing his feelings for Jourdan, who fills her in on what conversations were had between them while the former was away at Casa Amor.
The blonde beauty then proceeds to compile a list of questions for Curtis, ready to demand answers.
Confronting him on the sun deck, she says: “I’m going to read stuff off my phone as prompt.
“It’s not that it isn’t from my heart, because it is. I want this to be the last conversation we have about these issues.”
Will Curtis and Amy’s relationship survive this blow?
Love Island 2019 continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
