Danielle Armstrong praised as she admits she was depressed in early stages of pregnancy with first child

Former TOWIE star Danielle Armstrong is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend, who is known only as Tom.

The 31 year old recently revealed that she and her former-friend-turned-romantic-partner Tom are expecting a baby girl next year.

In her new Youtube channel, called Danni Keeping It Real, Danielle honestly spoke about how she had a lack of excitement about her pregnancy in its early stages and she struggled with depression.

She said: “Babies are blessings, but if you don't feel all the things you think you should be feeling it can make you feel so guilty.”

Danielle revealed that in the early stages of her pregnancy, she battled morning sickness and struggled to get out bed, and felt as though she'd lost her identity.

She told her followers: “I feel really bad saying this. And my baby if you watch this one day I love you so much… but at the time I didn't feel it, it didn't come from the heart, it didn't feel natural.

"I didn't cry when I found out I was pregnant which I thought I would because it's something that I've always wanted.”

She continued: "My hormones were all over the place but I'd sit on my sofa and not have the energy to go to work. Tom would come home and I'd be sat crying and I didn't know why.

"I just felt really low, I felt really down, I didn't feel myself.

“My body was changing. I knew I was going to get bigger but being in the health and fitness industry I was getting panicky and thinking: 'I don't want my body to change.'"

Danielle revealed that some days she was able to stay in bed when she lacked motivation to go to work as she is self employed, but she praised expectant mothers who have no choice but to go to work.

She said: “Big up to all my women out there who have got to carry on and be normal because it is actually difficult.”

In the caption of her video on YouTube, Danielle wrote: “So I thought this Sunday I would keep it real and give you an insight of some of my struggles I’ve had the first 12 weeks.
