It was revealed he suffered a seizure in his sleep, which was brought on by an existing medical condition.

The event was due to take place in Los Angeles on July 22, but they’ve decided to make a donation instead.

In a statement released by Disney, they said: “We’re proud to be part of Cameron Boyce’s legacy by showcasing his talents on screen.

“But, we are cancelling the red carpet premiere event for Descendants 3 scheduled for July 22 and instead, The Walt Disney Company will make a donation to the Thirst Project, a philanthropic organisation to which Cameron was deeply committed.”

The Descendants franchise tells the story of the children of Disney villains, and Cameron played the teenage son of Cruelle de Vil.

Cameron also appeared in Disney Channel sitcom Jessie, as well as a role on Grown Ups.

After his death was announced last week, fans couldn’t stop posting tributes for the actor.

Following floods of messages, his dad made the decision to speak out, posting a photo of his son hours before his death.

He wrote: “My son. Just hours before he was snatched from our lives. I miss him terribly.”

He added: “The outpouring of love and support our family continues to receive is so beautiful and appreciated.

“Thank you all for helping us through our worst possible situation.”
