Ex On The Beach star rushed to hospital after suffering terrifying reaction

Ex On The Beach star Laura Alicia Summers was rushed to hospital after being left struggling to breathe following an allergic reaction.

The 38 year old reality star, who appeared on series three of the show, revealed that she had suffered a “scary” asthma attack and posted a picture of her very swollen face.

Laura explained that she “woke up and out of nowhere my face had started to swell and burn and didn’t stop" but didn't say what exactly had caused the reaction.

Adding that she “couldn’t breathe properly” Laura said that she was forced to rush herself to her nearest A&E department to get urgent help.

She said that she was seen by a doctor “really quickly” but then had to stay around for eight hours of medical observation before being discharged.

Laura was treated with a combination of antihistamines, steroids and anti-inflammatories.

However, it wasn’t a complete recovery as Laura says her skin is still damaged by the incident and that she’s hoping to see a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Joking that she’s “vain”, Laura explained that her emergency incident means she’s now on an emergency two week waiting list to see a specialist.

“I’ve tried to be so positive whilst figuring out what the hell is happening to my body,” Laura said on her Instagram, but added that it was “starting to get to me.”

Laura appeared on Ex on The Beach back in 2012 for series three, when she appeared as Kieran Hayler’s ex.

On the show, Laura confessed that she had had half a million pounds worth of cosmetic surgery in a bid to look like love rival Katie Price and win back Kieran.

However, it wasn’t to be and Kieran later got back together with Katie and wed her in 2013.

The two would eventually split in 2021 after eight years of marriage and two kids, Bunny and Jett.

In 2017, Laura appeared on reality show Botched Bodies in a bid to reverse some of the work she had had done.
