Katie admitted that it was Harvey’s first time in a nightclub as they charged £10 for meet-and-greet tickets at the event, which reportedly saw Katie rake in £6,000.

But people took to Twitter to express their concern for Harvey’s wellbeing in the loud environment and some accused Katie of ‘exploiting’ her 19-year-old son through the paid appearance.

One person wrote: ‘Anyone else think that Katie Price taking Harvey to a night club to make an appearance is a bit absurd?

Another commented: ‘Harvey’s only going to be there because she wouldn’t be booked on her own. She’s exploiting him again.’

And a third said: ‘Why the f**k has Katie Price taken Harvey to a meet and greet at a nightclub?’

Concern: Harvey (pictured with Katie) has complex medical and behavioural conditions including Prader-Willi Syndrome, diabetes and autism

A fourth tweeted: ‘Katie Price treats Harvey like a circus act idc what anyone says.’

It comes after a source criticised Katie for being ‘irresponsible’ for taking Harvey, who has complex medical and behavioural conditions, to a nightclub.

The source told OK! Magazine: ‘She’ll [Katie] have to be on the edge of her seat the whole night, as you just don’t know how he’s going to react with loud noises, doors banging, a lot of people, talking and lots of flashes and cameras.’

Katie, who has made numerous appearances at Acapulco, reportedly raked in earnings of £6,000 for the event, which will be put into a bank account for Harvey.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie normally charges more but she’s agreed to appear for £6k as she’s keen for Harvey to make his own money.

‘It’ll all go into his bank account for when he’s older.

‘It’s £10 for a meet and greet so the club can pay her fee easily – people will be queuing up to meet them!’

MailOnline has approached Katie’s representatives for comment.

On Friday, Harvey was seen posing with his arms around groups of girls during the meet-and-greet appearance.

The former glamour model and her son appeared at the nightclub from 9.30pm, with fans being charged £10 for meet-and-greet tickets.

‘I love Katie, I think the world of her, I have always been in a happy relationship with Katie. I am currently on my way to Katie’s house so I am happy, I think the world of Katie, I really, really do. She has a heart of gold and I am in a happy relationship with her.

‘It has been a rollercoaster but she’s a lovely woman, she really is, she’s given a hard time.’
