Fans Find Kanye Wests New Yeezy GAP x Balenciaga Collection Scary and Weird
Prior to this, the rapper and fashion designer, who’s known for his unique designs, faced intense backlash for selling his Yeezy Gap collection in trash bags.
AceShowbiz –Kanye West has launched a brand new collection for his Yeezy GAP x Balenciaga just to receive more criticism. The rapper and fashion designer released some new wild pieces which fans found “scary” and “weird.”
The 45-year-old Hollywood star introduced his new products, including leather zip-up jackets, super big boots, a large leather poncho and a skin-tight suit. Upon seeing his new art, many social media users ridiculed his sense of fashion.
“Why it look like a demogorgon from stranger things,” one person commented, with another adding, “bro making clothes for extraterrestrials.” Someone else said, “this is so scary,” while a fourth chimed in, “Looks cool as art, but that ain’t fashion that’s some weird s**t.”
A separate social media user penned, “these are f**king Halloween costumes.” One person suggested that Ye might be inspired by “Missy Elliot music video.” Another opined, “This doesn’t even look right .. this a horror movie outfits. Straight outta James Wan’s horror movie.”
This wasn’t the first time Ye and his Yeezy Gap collection received negative reviews. Last week, the “Gold Digger” rapper landed in hot water for selling fashion items in trash bags. “This is how they are selling Yeezy GAP. The sales associate said Ye got mad when he saw they had it on hangers and this is how he wanted it,” one Twitter user tweeted on August 16 along with a photo of the multiple stuffed bags on the floor of one Gap store. “They won’t help you find ur size too, you just have to just dig through everything.”
Despite facing heavy criticism, Ye refused to apologize. “I’m an innovator, and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas,” he said in an interview that aired on “Fox & Friends”. The former husband of Kim Kardashian added, “That’s exactly what the media tries to do. Make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under exactly the way they want us to think.”
“I’m up here literally working on homeless shelters. There’s documentation of it where the city came and tore down my creations while I was doing it,” the father of four continued. “So no one can tell me I’m insensitive when that stuff that I think about every single day and actually have put my mind and innovation to.”
