The couple were married in Italy on the 18th of June.

Samantha chose her gorgeous floaty dress with Frozen co-star Steph McKeown, who plays Anna. She told us: "I felt very much like me in the dress, which is great."

The wedding took place at the Capannelle wine resort in Chianti, Italy.

Her father Richard walked Samantha down the aisle.

There were lots of personalised touches on the day.

Alex’s stage star pal Colin Cunliffe was their registrar for the 4pm ceremony – something Samantha describes as "magical."

After making it official, the newlyweds were showered in rice and flowers as they left the altar to the sound of a harpist playing Beyoncé’s Love On Top.

Samantha described the day as "everything we could ever hope for, and so much more"

The couple chose Italy as their wedding destination.

The wedding breakfast took place under fairly lights and consisted of a four-course Italian cuisine, including the sumptuous truffle risotto.

“I got emotional during the ceremony,” Samantha admits. “If there was any part of the day I could have been slightly nervous for, it would have been that. Performing is what we do, so I’m so used to that, but in my mind I was thinking, ‘I don’t want to mess anything up’. But once I got there and you see everyone, walking down with my dad and seeing Alex, the nerves went away."

Guests partied late into the night while the DJ spun his decks, before the bride and groom finally went to bed at 2.15am, with Samantha saying she nodded off feeling “drunk on love”.

Pink flowers matched the bridesmaids’ gowns.

50 of their friends and family flew miles to attend their Italian nuptials – some coming as far as the States.

Instead of sugared almonds, guests were gifted miniature bottles of olive oil as favours.

Guests were treated to gelato in the evening as the party continued until the early hours.

After dinner, guests gathered for the Italian cake show – a display in which chefs make the wedding cake in 10 minutes to music. Samantha and Alex then cut the masterpiece to Diamonds by Rihanna as guests waved sparklers in celebration.
