Holly and Phils ‘awkward’ snap highlights backstage tension

The source claimed: “While Holly and Phil were all smiles as they hosted This Morning on Tuesday, they awkwardly avoided being pictured next to each other as they posed alongside one of their guests.

The show focused on documentary maker Matthew Bauer’s social media profile and spotlighting two men who grew up with the Casino Royale’s famous name.

Several outlets have documented the awkward tensions between the former friends including GB News’ Dan Wootton.

He revealed that several close sources who were unnamed, had confirmed that Holly was especially concerned about her continued connection with Phil.

“For Holly there’s also a degree of her becoming concerned that some of the scandals connected to Phillip are damaging her reputation.”

He added that other stars and guests had begun to feel the power of the show’s growing conflict.

The article reported that “no major name [was] going to involve themselves in this sh*** show, so you’re going to see a succession of stars appearing on This Morning who are already connected with ITV.”

The same publication shared that viewing figures had declined significantly compared to the previous week.

The viewer numbers dropped by 170,000 as fans of the show recognised the strained relationship.

Fans spoke on Twitter about the rumoured strained partnership and others recognised that Holly had already distanced herself from her former friend and colleague.

Last week, she deleted a caption dedicated to Phil from her bio and removed several photos referencing him from Instagram.

Her Twitter bio previously showed that she “was introduced to this (Twitter) by a Twitter legend,” before she tagged Phillip.

Holly took over from ex-This Morning host Fern Britton, 65, in 2009.

In addition to hosting the breakfast show for 14 years, the pair work together hosting Dancing On Ice.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
