How ‘RHONJ’ star Dolores Catania is quarantining

Dolores Catania is known for having a full house — with her ex-husband Frank Catania and boyfriend Dr. David Principe all under one roof — but the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star is quarantining away from them to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“Because Frank’s immune system is so low from having just had surgery, he moved out of David’s house,” Dolores, 49, told Page Six Wednesday. “He moved down the shore — to our shore house.”

In February, the former bodybuilder suffered a bad fall that caused him to dislocate his kneecaps and tear his quadriceps. Dolores told Page Six at the time that her ex was worried he would not be able to work out and was going to “lose his muscles.”

The “RHONJ” fixture told us Frank has lost 10 pounds, but is “doing well” and continuing his physical therapy despite being in quarantine.

“He’s been able to get full motion on the exercise bike,” Dolores said. “There’s no gyms open and that’s a big concern, but that’s just something that everyone is going to have to deal with. Frank always takes everything like a man. He listened to what the doctor said and because of that he got better, and because of the care of David, of course.”

While Principe is no longer treating Frank, he is busier than ever taking care of patients at St. Joseph’s hospital in Paterson, NJ, amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“Some of his patients are corona positive,” Dolores said of the obstetrician-gynecologist, who is in quarantine by himself at his house while she stays with her son, Frank Catania, Jr., in her home.

“I’m sure he’s careful coming home, so it’s just scary,” she added, sharing that she frequently drops off food for her boyfriend at his door.

Amid the outbreak, Dolores has worked with many companies to provide supplies to a local hospital and nonprofit organizations.

She told us, “I couldn’t be more thankful for my platform, which I always say is worth its weight in gold. Anybody who helps the people that I help has a friend in me.”
