James Corden: Gavin and Stacey star pictured for FIRST time since epic news on Twitter
James Corden, 40, stepped out in London last night and was seen in public for the first time since revealing the exciting news.
The English star, who is now a television host in America with his own show – The Late Late Show with James Corden, looked dapper when he was snapped heading to dinner with a pal.
The father-of-three, who is married to television producer Julia Carey, opted for a smart casual look of dark jeans with a stylish blazer for dinner at Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair.
He teamed his black jacket, which featured colourful piping at the edges, with a button-up navy cardigan and a pair of trainers.
Earlier in the week, James, who found fame in the early 2000’s on ITV show Fat Friends, took to social media to announce the return of British sitcom Gavin and Stacey which he co-wrote with Ruth Jones, 52.
The talented duo also starred in the popular BBC show which ran from 2007 to 2010, and won several BAFTAs and British Comedy Awards.
On Monday evening, he told his 10.5 million Twitter followers: “Ruth Jones and I have been keeping this secret for a while… We’re excited to share it with you. See you on Christmas Day @BBCOne #GavinandStacey”.
The hit TV show focused on a young couple, one from England and one from Wales, who fall in love and introduce their quirky families to each other.
Gavin and Stacey were played by Mathew Horne, 40, and Joanna Page, 42, while James and Ruth played their best friends Neil Smith and Vanessa Shanessa Jenkins aka Smithy and Nessa.
The one-off special will air on Christmas day and reunite the whole cast who were last seen on our TV screens on New Year’s Day nine years ago.
