Jared Padalecki Is Blindsided and "Gutted" That He's Been Left Out of the'Supernatural' Prequel

A Supernatural prequel is in the works, and…apparently Jared Padalecki has been entirely left out of it?!?! Which is truly wild considering he’s one of the two (2) stars of the original, endlessly long series.

Turns out Jared’s costar, Jensen Ackles, and his wife, Danneel Ackles, are working on a prequel about the Winchester brothers’ parents, news that Deadline broke yesterday. And apparently this was brand! new! information! to Jared, who hopped on Twitter to say say he was “gutted” to be left out.

“Dude. Happy for you. Wish I heard about this some way other than Twitter,” he tweeted. “I’m excited to watch, but bummed that Sam Winchester had no involvement whatsoever.”

He then added, “This is the first I’ve heard about it. I’m gutted.”
