Kelsey Parker reminisces over heartwarming resurfaced Tweet from Tom

Kelsey Parker has taken to her Instagram stories to reminisce about a heartwarming Tweet posted by her late husband, Tom Parker.

Tom, who was one fifth of the British boyband, The Wanted, sadly passed away in March, aged 33, after tragically losing his 18-month battle with brain cancer.

On Wednesday, his widow, Kelsey, reposted an old Tweet that Tom wrote in 2011.

In the screenshot snap, posted to Instagram, Tom had replied to a fan speaking about Kelsey, who wrote: “@tomthewanted I’m still REALLY happy for you! She’s a lucky girl, and I hope she makes you happy:)xxxx”.

Tom wrote back, saying: “@Emma17Skyes she really does. Wish everyone could meet her 🙂 x”

In Kelsey’s caption over the photo she wrote: “A love like no other…this was way back from 2011.. my heart” with love heart emojis.

Tom and Kelsey, who share two children, Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, were sweethearts from the age of around 20 after meeting at a nightclub in 2009.

The couple went from strength to strength even after Tom found success with The Wanted, and they went on to marry in 2018.

Kelsey announced Tom’s tragic death in an Instagram post in March, writing: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."

Kelsey has been open in her journey since the passing of her ‘true soulmate’, recently giving her first interview since her husband’s death on ITV’s Loose Women, when she admitted that, despite knowing he was dying, his death came as a “massive shock”.

When asked by Kaye Adams if she and Tom had talked about plans for his funeral before he died, Kelsey said: “We never went there…like I know he had terminal cancer but this actually came as a massive shock to us

“I didn’t feel like this was going to be the end for him”, before she added that she and Tom “didn’t really talk about death”.
