Kim Kardashian's Halloween Decor Is Just as Over the Top as You'd Expect
We can count on Kim Kardashian to pull out all the stops with her Halloween decor, and this year was no exception. The Skims founder transformed her Los Angeles mansion into an upscale haunted house, complete with skeletons and mummies. She offered fans a peek at the spooky setup on Oct. 26, sharing a video tour of her lawn and foyer on Instagram and TikTok.
“I decided to do a skeleton theme,” she said, displaying two giant bone-covered trees she had custom-made for the front yard. Flanking both sides of the main walkway are two groups of hooded figures gathered around a bonfire. Kardashian’s “favorite part” is the collection of hand molds jutting up from the ground, like corpses coming back to life. The reality star said she had a “molding party” to cast the hands of “everyone that we know,” including her kids, nieces and nephews, close friends, and even her chef. “Definitely wanted a more tonal palette this year,” she added before panning over to spotlight the catacomb-style archway of skulls surrounding her front doorway.
With help from daughter North, Kardashian then slipped inside to unveil the interior decorations, which include gauze-like material draped from the ceilings and walls and a long hallway lined with life-size mummies. “We have a really creepy situation going on in here,” she said. Quite frankly, that’s the understatement of the century: can you imagine getting up at 3 a.m. to use the bathroom and having to walk through this? That’s a hard pass on our end, but, to each their own.
Kardashian consistently goes above and beyond with spooky season decor. Last year, she filled her lawn with massive fake tarantulas, including a larger-than-life spider that towered over her front door. And in 2021, she went with a similar arachnid theme, covering her entire home with spiderwebs and dressing her family in colorful spider costumes for their annual Halloween portrait. We wonder what sort of wild costume she has in the works this year.
