Laura Whitmore says ‘choose love’ in heartfelt post ahead of Love Island final

Laura Whitmore has shared a heartfelt post ahead of tonight's Love Island final.

The Irish bombshell, 34, took to Instagram to urge her fans and followers to 'choose love', and more importantly, share love after the tragic death of her friend Caroline Flack.

In a subtle yet powerful statement, Laura admitted that it's been a 'tough week' for the entire cast and crew of the hit ITV dating show.

Looking as stunning as ever, the blonde beauty posed up a storm as she modelled a black slogan t-shirt which read 'Choose Love'.

Laura paired the impactful slogan tee with a baby pink blazer and pants and alongside the emotive snap she wrote: "Choose love. So many emotions ahead of tonight's Love Island final. Been a tough week, let’s give all the love to the islanders. Who’s your favourite couple!"

The presenters touching post was met with with admiration from fans and followers alike who sent their best wishes.

"Best of luck for the final Laura. Some well deserved r&r to you and the team at ITV once filming wraps. No doubt you'll all need it. I'm certain Caroline would be proud of you!"

"Good luck tomorrow Laura. I know it will be hard but you're going to be amazing as always, and Caroline will be right by your side," another echoed.

While a third posted: "Honestly you amaze me. Good luck, you will be amazing and Caroline would be so, so proud."

"We're all behind you Laura. You're so strong babe!" a fourth penned.

Laura's latest post is even more poignant given that her dear friend used to wear her 'choose love' t-shirt regularly, and the most memorable photo of her wearing it was when she announced her engagement to ex Andrew Brady.

Laura's emotive post comes after the star voiced her support for her boyfriend Iain Stirling after his emotional tribute to Caroline Flack aired on  Love Island earlier this week.

The TV presenter, who took over hosting the show after Caroline stepped down in December, said it "wasn't easy" for Iain to do.

Caroline was  found dead at the age of 40 at her east London home last Saturday morning after taking her own life.

The Scottish comedian's voice broke as he told Caroline that he would miss her in the ITV2 reality show's opening moments on Monday evening.

Just minutes after the tribute ended, Laura, who has been in a relationship with Iain since 2017, tweeted him: "Love you @IainDoesJokes I know that wasn't easy x."

On Monday night, Love Island began with footage of the South African beaches and sea as Iain spoke about the crew's heartbreak over Caroline's death.

He said: "We are all absolutely devastated by the news that Caroline has passed away. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this dreadful time.

"Caroline and me were together from the start of Love Island, and her passion, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm were a crucial part of what made the show connect with millions of viewers.

"Like many of you, right now we're all just trying to come to terms with what has happened.

"My only hope is that we are try and be kinder, always show love, and listen to one another. Caroline, I want to thank you for all the times we had making this show.

"You were a true friend to me. I'm gonna miss you, Caz."
