Leslie Grace Reacts To Batgirl Casting: I am Beyond Excited

Leslie Grace is officially confirming that she did indeed get the role of Barbara Gordon in Batgirl!

The 26-year-old singer turned actress was reported to have landed the role after screen testing this week.

“I am BEYOND EXCITED to embody Barbara Gordon, your #Batgirl ! I cannot believeeee what I’m writing rn… THANK YOU DC for welcoming to the family! I’m ready to give her all I’ve got! ??✨,” she shared on Twitter.

Other actresses who reportedly tested for the role include Zoey Deutch, Isabela Merced and Haley Lu Richardson.

This will be Leslie‘s second acting project, following her breakout role as Nina Rosario in the musical event of the summer In The Heights.

Prior to diving into acting, Leslie has had a successful music career, with two albums, an EP and multiple singles under her belt. She’s also been nominated for three Latin Grammys, and has won a Lo Nuestro award and a Nickelodeon Mexico Kids’ Choice award.
