Lizzo Calls Out TikTok For Taking Down Her Swimsuit Videos

Lizzo has called out to TikTok for seemingly removing her swimsuit videos.

The “Truth Hurts” singer told TikTok that “we need to talk” after she claimed that the app removed videos of her in a bikini while allowing other women to show off their bodies.

In the video, Lizzo lip-syncs the words “I Know,” a trend on the app, while an onscreen text accuses the platform of discrimination against her.

“TikTok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” the text reads. “But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why? Tiktok… we need to talk.”

Last fall, in an interview with Glamour, Lizzo said, “When people look at my body and be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so brave,’ it’s like, ‘No, I’m not. I’m just fine. I’m just me. I’m just sexy. If you saw Anne Hathaway in a bikini on a billboard, you wouldn’t call her brave.

“I don’t like it when people think it’s hard for me to see myself as beautiful,” she continued. “I don’t like it when people are shocked that I’m doing it.”
