Love Islands Molly-Mae Hague says shes struggling after birth of first child

Molly-Mae Hague, 24, replied to fans curious about whether she had regained confidence in her appearance after giving birth.

The former Love Island contestant welcomed daughter Bambi in January of this year and updated her feed with photos of the new arrival and partner Tommy Fury, 24.

The reality star replied to an Instagram story with 7.5 million followers about her body confidence journey in response to her changed appearance.

“It’s most certainly a journey… one I’m not particularly finding easy but I ALWAYS knew the second I fell pregnant that accepting my new post baby body wouldn’t happen over night.” (sic)

She added: “I’ll get there, I’m hoping I’ll fall back in love with a healthy/balanced lifestyle again soon… it’s not happened quite yet but I know I need to be patient with myself.”

Molly continued: “Post-partum Mumma’s also struggling with this.”

She ended the reply which was set against a backdrop of her lying on the bed, for fans to “be kind to yourself” and that she was “sending love”.

In a recent YouTube video, the influencer confirmed that her “body confidence [was] actually getting worse” and it was “irritating her”.

She also said she wasn’t rushing to wear a swimsuit again: “I just don’t ever picture myself putting on a bikini ever again.

“I mean, I never did in the first place. There’s just no way.”

The celeb continued: “Like, before I had a baby I didn’t feel confident in a bikini, so after having a baby I just don’t picture myself thinking ‘Oh, I’ll slip a bikini on and feel amazing.’

“I want to come on here and say ‘I feel amazing’, but it’s just not how I’m feeling at the minute.”

The comments come after Molly, who is PrettyLittleThing’s creative director, showed off the latest collection.

Fans were quick to applaud the TV star for showcasing her post-partum body in several cropped and revealing beachwear outfits.

The mother-of-one has also posted photos of herself by the sea and pool on social media, in both a swimsuit and bikini top.

Whilst the new mother is happy to gush over her daughter, her next Instagram story revealed that she doesn’t plan to give birth again so quickly.

When asked, Molly-Mae responded: “Definitely not for a good while.

“Some day I’ll be ready… but it’s not unknown that I’ve found it harder than I expected to (even though I’m doing so much better now).”
She added that she respected mothers with more than one child calling them “superheroes”.
