Lucy Mecklenburgh is said to have become the latest former The Only Way Is Essex star who will not be returning to the show, according to reports.

The 29 year old apparently won’t be filming for the TOWIE reunion special, which is celebrating ten years of the series.

Mum-of-one Lucy, who gave birth to son Roman earlier this year, is said to be “too busy” to make time to film for the reality show which found her fame.

A source has said: “Lucy loves the show and has a real soft spot for it but unfortunately she’s too busy to fit in filming for the reunion.

“She has so much going on at the moment.

“Between being a new parent and her business, there is barely any time she could put aside to be on the show.”

The insider added to The Sun Online: “She tried to make it work but when everything was taken into account, something had to give. It’s sad but not really surprising.”

Lucy, who recently said she “lost her personality” when she had son Roman, isn’t the only star who will not be returning to the series, as Mark Wright, Sam Faiers and Kirk Norcross are also said to have snubbed the reunion special.

But, some of the show’s former favourites are returning to our screens including Amy Childs, Fran Parman, who was snapped filming in Essex recently, and Danielle Armstrong.

Danielle, who gave birth to daughter Orla earlier this year, is set for a showdown with her ex-boyfriend James Lock when she returns to the show.

A source close to the show exclusively told OK! online: “Danielle and James were so in love with each other and they used to make great TV with their storylines.

“But the other side of things was that they had really explosive arguments and they ended up splitting acrimoniously. James moved on with Yaz and remember Yaz and Dani having an altercation in a restaurant too.

“Everyone is kind of OK with each other now, but Danielle and James haven't spoken in a while and now she's a mum Dani has other priorities and it's put things into perspective for her.

“Having her back on the show for the anniversary is amazing because they're hoping Dani and James will have a big showdown reunion where she can ask him everything she ever wanted and finally get some closure.

“If she doesn't get the answers she was hoping for it's gonna be explosive,” our insider added.
