Mark Wright is branded a superhero after saving Jamie Laings life

Mark Wright has been branded a "superhero" after it was revealed he once saved Jamie Laing's life.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark, 34, revealed he once pulled Jamie, 33, out of the path of a double decker bus in front of his Made in Chelsea bestie Spencer Matthews.

Mark made the revelation as he appeared on Jamie and 33 year old Spencer's joint podcast Six Degrees.

He left the pair a voice note to play on their BBC Sounds podcast. In its Mark said: "I'll get back to you all day, every day Spencer.

"The problem is I don't think you're going to get a tick on this one because I'm certainly not a superstar."

Mark went on: "I'm just your normal bloke who's your pal, who also saved Jamie Laing's life in front of you."

Jamie, who recently got engaged to Sophie Habboo, beamed as he listened to the voice note and admitted: "It's true!"

Mark continued: "It should be him voice-noting me every morning saying: 'Thank you, Merry Christmas and Mark Wright I love you'.

"That's what really should be happening," the reality star revealed as Jamie gave a cheeky giggle.

Mark then told Spencer: "And you were there to witness it. And yes Jamie, I will keep reminding you about this for the rest of your life.

"All I can see is that red double decker bus. As Al Pacino said: 'Life is about inches'.

"One inch the other way, you were splattered across the front of that bus like one of those teddy bears the lorry drivers stick on the front."

The former TOWIE star continued: "But the Wrightster – not the superstar, superhero – stopped that happening."

"Thank you, god bless, I'm here all week," Mark then ended his message leaving Spencer and Jamie in fits of laughter.

MIC star Jamie then confessed: "That is so true. So to listeners who don't know this; Spenn and I went for drinks with Mark Wright and a couple of mates – this is about 10 years ago.

"And I was talking to Mark, walking across the road and Mark grabbed me and pulled my back by my jacket and a bus went streaming past.

"Mark Wright saved me from being hit by a bus and to this day he reminds me all the time. But I am forever in Mark Wright's favour as he saved my life. He saved my life, saved my life."

Spencer then added: "Mark Wright the superhero, who would have thought it?"

As Jamie posted the clip from their podcast on his Instagram page and wrote in the caption: "It’s true @wrighty_ saved my life!!"
