Married at First Sight UK stars announce they are expecting their first baby
Married at First Sight: Sneak peek at UK series
The couple, who met on series five of the show in 2020, took to their joint Instagram account to confirm their happy news yesterday.
Michelle cradled her growing baby bump, as she looked stylish in a teal spotted dress as she announced her pregnancy.
Owen stood beside her and grinned as he held two packets of ice, to spell out “Ice Ice Baby” along with Michelle’s bump, in a humorous reference to Vanilla Ice’s song.
The overjoyed couple also shared a snap of their sonogram showing their unborn child, who they confirmed is due in December this year.
Alongside the snaps, they excitedly penned: “So, we’ve got news… #mafsuk #mafsbaby #mafsukbaby #comingdecember2023.”
MAFS’ Paul Brunson, who was the expert and matchmaker in charge of setting them up, commented on the post: “You’ll both be incredible parents.”
A fan commented: “So happy for you both.”
Another replied: “Best news ever! Congratulations!”
The pair married as strangers on controversial dating show Married At First Sight, before being plunged into a national lockdown amid the Covid crisis.

Michelle decided to relocate from Sussex to Sheffield to live with Owen as they overcame the hurdles of the lockdown.
The couple recently celebrated their third-year anniversary on March 15 and took to Instagram to share an insight into the occasion.
They shared an array of sweet pictures of them both as they enjoyed a meal out together to mark their anniversary.
Alongside the snaps, they wrote: “The nicer version of the anniversary dinner pictures! Feeling endlessly lucky.”
The start date of Married at First Sight 2023 hasn’t yet been confirmed, last year it kicked off on Monday 29th August.
It normally runs for about six weeks, but this time around bosses are hoping to keep it on for eight weeks instead.
And viewers have a lot to look forward to, as a TV insider claims that there has already been a wife swap and a huge argument.
The source said things between the group got so heated that one groom had to be removed from the show following an altercation.
“This season of MAFS UK has just finished filming and it is very explosive. [There’s] wife swapping, massive rows and even a physical altercation between two of the grooms. One of them was even removed from the show,” the insider told OK! Magazine.
