Michelle Heaton showcases incredibly muscular physique in gym ahead of Dancing On Ice

Singer Michelle Heaton has shown off her incredibly muscular physique as she hits the gym, in new snaps shared to her Instagram.

The Liberty X star, 43, donned a yellow sports bra and black leggings as she documented her workout, adding that she hopes to increase her upper body strength ahead of her appearance on ITV's Dancing On Ice in January.

In the snaps shared to her Instagram, Michelle kept her long her tied back as she lifted a number of different weights.

The mum-of-two was then joined by her husband Hugh Hanley as they both flexed their muscles for the camera.

Captioning her post, which included some workout clips, Michelle wrote: "And on Saturday we hydrate! 45 mins of back & shoulders today .. here are a few of my exercises.

"Remember, lifting weights doesn’t have to mean getting big. For us ladies we would have to lift an incredible weight and eat allot of food to build and bulk.

"I lift because it strengthens my upper body, my core and physical condition. In turn creating that “lean” not “bulky” effect. And it releases those happy hormones putting a spring in my step!

"All helping towards my lifts on #dancingonice where upper body strength is key to support each other…"

Michelle was the fourth Dancing On Ice 2023 contestant to be announced, and at the time a source said the team at ITV are "delighted" to welcome to singer as part of the line-up.

They continued to tell The Sun: "Michelle has been through a lot over the past few years and she has overcome a lot to make it this far. She wants to push herself and make her children proud of her."

Michelle will be joined on the ice by Love Island favourite Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, former TOWIE star Joey Essex, and EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.

And it seems as though next year's Dancing On Ice may prove a competitive competition, with Love Island winner Ekin-Su already vowing to continue her winning streak.

Speaking about training for the show, Ekin-Su told OK!: "It's very intense but I love every minute of it. Am I competitive? Yes. Do I think anyone's gonna win? No, because people can really surprise you."

She explained that although she is in pain from the intense training, she has not had a fall or any injuries happen.

When asked if she would teach her boyfriend Davide to ice skate she said he already knows how to: "Anything I can do, he can do. We're the same person," she joked.
