Mick Hucknall denies bedding 3000 women after wild claims he slept with 3 a day

Mick Hucknall has put to bed rumours he slept with 3,000 women.

The musician, 59, sent shockwaves around the showbiz circuit with claims he would sleep with up to three women a day every day in 2010.

However, the songwriter has now admitted he had never sat down and counted how many women he had slept with over the years.

Simply Red pop star Mick has had high-profile romances with the likes of Catherine Zeta Jones, Helena Christensen and Ulrika Jonsson.

The 1980s icon likened himself to a playboy as he confessed he couldn't go on "rolling out of night clubs at 4am every morning" in a new interview with The Sunday Times .

He told the publication: "I have no idea. I don't put chips on the bedposts. I haven't a clue and have never thought about calculating."

The singer went on: "I realised I couldn't go on like this this, rolling out of night clubs at 4am every morning, week on week, basically wandering around like a playboy."

Mick has been happily married to his wife Gabriella Wesberry for nine years.

The couple, who raise daughter Romy, were married in a romantic wedding in Perthshire, Scotland in 2010.

Mick got jaws dropping when he dropped the bombshell he was sleeping with three women a day.

The rocker made the wild claims in an interview nine years ago which he now claimed were "conflated".
