Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Viewers blast BBC for technical blunder during performance

Strictly Come Dancing fans were in an uproar on social media as they struggled to hear the guest singer Mabel during her performance. Mabel was invited onto the BBC show to sing her hit single Don’t Call Me Up but viewers complained they couldn’t hear the singer and blasted the show for the technical blunder.

One viewer said: “Is there a particular reason they’ve invited this singer on to then not allow her to be heard over the backing music? #Strictly.”

Another wrote: ‘Mabel’s sound is so bad, her vocals are way too low, you can’t her #Strictly.”

“#Strictly fail. Can’t hear the singer over the music at all. Bad mic! No idea at how this song should go @bbcstrictly,” a third added.

“Do I need to adjust the audio on my TV? The sound always seems to be bad in the singer performances this year #Strictly #BBCStrictly,” another said

Meanwhile, David James was the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.

The former England goalkeeper found himself in the dreaded dance-off alongside Mike Bushell and Katya Jones.

David and Nadiya Bychkova performed their routine again for their third dance-off after their Jive to Such A Night by Michael Bublé failed to impress the judges.

After their performances, the judges unanimously voted to save Mike.

When host Tess Daly asked David how he felt, he confessed: “Oh, I’ve loved it.

“I feel so bad I’ve let Nadiya down in a sense. I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve put some weight on though.”
