Pregnant Malika Haqq froze her eggs but didn’t use them

Malika Haqq got pregnant the old-fashioned way.

The 36-year-old TV personality, who announced her pregnancy in September, revealed that for her birthday last year she froze her eggs but ended up not needing to use them.

“I didn’t know when I was going to have children, so deciding to freeze my eggs as a gift to myself on my 35th birthday was pretty hilarious now at this point because I have eggs in the freezer that I may never use,” she told twin sister Khadijah on their Facebook Watch show “Side by Side.” “I made a baby in love and those eggs weren’t necessary.”

She added, “It’s funny how you plan and then life happens.”

During the chat, Haqq also got emotional about becoming a first-time mother.

“The reason why I was so excited to learn that I was pregnant was because I knew that my life was going to change for the better,” she said, tearing up. “The greatest blessing that I’ve always wanted but didn’t know I was going to get is finally here.”

Khloé Kardashian’s BFF announced last week that she is having a baby boy.

She has not confirmed the identity of her baby’s father. She and longtime boyfriend O.T. Genasis split over the summer.

She is due in March.
