Princess Charlotte Wore the Same Shoes as Prince George for Her Birthday Portrait

Princess Charlotte looked absolutely darling in her fourth birthday portraits shot by Kate Middleton outside of their country home in Norfolk. In the series of recently released images, the birthday girl wore a blue floral-printed dress with a white bib collar. Her hair was half up, fastened with a navy ribbon that matched her affordable ($35) laceless slip-on sneakers by Hampton Canvas.

Interestingly enough, Princess Charlotte wore the same pair of kicks as her big brother Prince George. Last June, the brother-sister duo previously wore matching Hampton Canvas shoes to watch their father Prince William compete in a polo match, according to Footwear News.

For the event, Charlotte paired her shoes with a pink and white printed dress while showing off her gymnastic skills in the grass. Prince George kept busy running around the field while wearing a navy polo shirt and khaki shorts with his laceless shoes.

This is not the first time that Princess Charlotte, whom Duchess Kate nicknamed Lottie, has borrowed from her big brother, or at least taken style cues from him.

In the Cambridges’ 2018 Christmas card, Charlotte wore the same blue and white cardigan Prince George wore in a 2016 portrait for the queen’s 90th birthday, a detail first noticed on Twitter by user @MiddletonMaven. When the photos were released, People also reported that a then seven-month-old Louis was wearing a hand-me-down bloomer shirt from his brother George.
