Rio Ferdinand says hes never seen Victoria Beckham eat anything as hes grilled on star

Rio Ferdinand has addressed Victoria Beckham’s diet and shared that he’s never seen the fashion designer eat anything over the many years he’s known her.

Mum-of-four Victoria often documents her gruelling workout regimes on social media and is known for her strict diet, something both she and husband David Beckham have discussed.

With this in mind, her diet and lifestyle is often a topic of conversation, with Rio, 44, now weighing in on the matter.

Rio played for England and Manchester United at the same time as David Beckham, and often rubbed shoulders with Victoria, 48, as a result.

Chatting to radio host Jackie O’Henderson on her Australian radio show recently, she admitted that she was “obsessed” with the former Spice Girls star’s diet as she grilled Rio.

He confessed: "I've never seen her eat anything. I don't remember anything that sticks out of my memory, to be honest."

Rio went on to call Victoria “nice”, and when Jackie tried to further pry about Victoria, the football pundit quipped: "You can't be asking a player about another soccer player's wife."

His comments come after Victoria's husband David alleged that she’d eaten the same meal every day for 25 years.

Discussing his wife's eating habits on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast last year, David shared: “I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it.

“Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.

“Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.”

Victoria wasn’t best pleased with David’s remarks however, as she felt it made her sound “boring”.

Victoria told Vogue: "I mean, talk about making me sound boring! No. What he meant is that he's never met anyone who is more disciplined with the way that they eat.

"I eat lots of healthy fat: fish, avocado, nuts, that sort of thing. I do drink alcohol, unless I have a reason not to.

"I'll detox from anything for three to six months where I won't drink. I'm quite extreme in anything I do, whether it's eating or working out or drinking or not drinking."

Meanwhile, a source told us at the time: "What David said is true – she’s very conscious about what she eats.

"David was just being honest, But Victoria wasn’t happy with the way it came across, as it did make her sound quite boring!

"She’s admitted before that she doesn’t eat carbs and she really watches what she eats, but it was probably quite brave of David to come out and say it!”
