Ryan Reynolds and 6 Other Celebs With Liquor and Wine Brands to Gift for the Holidays

Side businesses can prove to be a wise investment for celebrities these days should they decide to veer out of their main lanes in acting, sports, or music. Many are finding their way into the world of spirits, lending their endorsement or hands to the creation of their own personal alcohol brands.

You’re probably already aware George Clooney has his own tequila and Bethenny Frankel launched Skinnygirl Cocktails years ago, but here are a few other famous names who’ve jumped into the liquor game.

Nick Jonas

This summer, Jonas’ Villa One tequila hit the market with three varieties: silver, añejo, and reposado. The idea hit him while he was on vacation and he teamed up with master distiller Arturo Fuentes and designer John Varvatos to create the tequila, per Delish. The line is getting rave reviews and prices range from $45 to $60.

Ryan Reynolds

Have you heard of Aviation Gin? Reynolds bought the companyin early 2018 and has become the face of the brand ever since, marketing it onsocial media and behind the scenes. Check out his Turkey Day Post to get anidea. The cost? Around $25 to $30 a pop.

Drake

The Toronto-bred rapper collaborated with sommelier Brent Hocking to create Virginia Black Whiskey. Wine Enthusiast rated it a 91% and describes the taste as “almost like an oaky Cognac. The smooth palate shows oak and vanilla, finishing long with hints of toffee, orange peel and baking spice.” It runs roughly $40 per bottle.

Dylan Sprouse

Sprouse, twin brother of Cole Sprouse and former Disney star, co-founded a mead company in Brooklyn and is hands-on with crafting the honey-tinged wine at All-Wise Meadery. According to Vice, he’s the youngest mead brewer in the U.S. Pick up a bottle for $35.   

50 Cent

Visit his Instagram page any day of the week and you’ll find 50 Cent promoting his champagne brand, Le Chemin du Roi with a hashtag as well as Branson Cognac. The champagne selections range from $200 on up to $1,000, but the cognac is about $70 to $75 a bottle.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

The two exes still co-own a French winery which produces their winning Miraval Rosé. Their line has expanded since they bought the property about a decade ago with the vineyard’s latest launch being Studio Rosé. A bottle of any of their Miraval line will only set you back about $20.

Matthew McConaughey

It seems a Kentucky bourbon is fitting for McConaughey, and his partnership with Wild Turkey led to what Thrillist calls the “perfect summer bourbon.” Wild Turkey Longbranch Bourbon is described as a “smooth sipping whiskey with subtle hints of smoky sweetness.” Grab some for $40.

Just for kicks

According to The Associated Press, The Walking Dead franchise has a special whiskey on the market called “Spirits of the Dead” which retails for $38. Downton Abbey has its own gin called Highclere Castle, available for sale in the U.S. for $49. Not a fan of those shows?
