Stacey Solomon so proud as son Leighton, 11, celebrates huge milestone

TV personalityStacey Solomonproved she’s just like mums everywhere as she shared a heartfelt tribute to her son.

Taking to her Instagram account, Stacey shared some adorable snaps of herself and her son Leighton, 11, as he celebrates his last ever day of primary school.

In the photos Stacey can be seen beaming alongside her sun as she hugs him, with a ‘Leavers 2023’ bouncy castle in the background, as well as pictures of Leighton holding up a year 6 Leavers frame around his face and a snapshot of his signed school shirt, which many of us will remember from our own leaving days.

Stacey, who was barefoot in the photos (suggesting she’d just tried her hand at the bouncy castle), marked the occasion by sharing an emotional caption praising her son and wondering where the time went, as she wrote: “Primary School – done” with a checkmark and crying emoji.

Stacey continued: “Leighton we are so proud of you. The time has come to spread your beautiful wings and fly into the next chapter. The last 11 years have just flown by. Too quickly for my liking. But keep being the most kind, caring human, Keep your heart open & go and be whoever you want to be, you’ve got this I promise. To the moon and back Leighton. I know you’ve grown into the most kind you man but you’ll always be my baby Leighton.”

Stacey also praised other leavers along with their parents and caregivers, adding: “Sending massive cuddles to all the leavers of 2023. No matter what’s next for you, you’ve got this. The world is yours. And to all the parents/caregivers, you’ve done an amazing job never forget it.”

Today marks the last day of school for most of the UK as the kids head off on their six week summer holidays, and Stacey certainly has her hands full for the next few months.

Alongside Leighton, Stacey is also mum to sons Zachary and Rex, and daughters Rose and baby Belle, the latter which she welcomed earlier this year with husband Joe Swash.

With a house full of kids for the next few weeks, we have no doubt Stacey will be keeping her fans posted with her usual hilarious anecdotes and updates over on Instagram.

She’salready shared that she’s suffering from ‘mum guilt’as she shared a relatable Instagram post as she lay on the floor overcome by emotion and worrying that she’d not been there enough for her children over the last few years.
