Steph McGovern, 39, tends to keep her family life outside of the spotlight. However, the Packed Lunch presenter recently shared a little insight as she posted some snaps from a “little holiday with the family” on social media.
Taking to Instagram, the former BBC Breakfast presenter shared her life with her 43,000 followers.
She posted several snaps of her driving a boat around Ballycastle.
Wearing a pink raincoat, the broadcaster beamed for the camera as she navigated the seas.
Steph also shared a video of the choppy water and beautiful landscape she enjoyed.
Accompanying her post yesterday, Steph penned: “Hit the high seas for a quick ride round Ballycastle.
“Lush to see the coastal route I normally run along too.”
She completed her caption with the hashtag “#ayeayecaptain.
In the comments, one fan wondered what she was doing in Northern Ireland.
Steph then revealed: “Little holiday with the family.”
The broadcaster posted racked up more than 1,500 likes as many of her followers shared their delight at the insight.
One replied: “The north coast is a cracking place to be over the summer.”
“Love our Country,” a second added in the comments.
Another wrote: “Looking stunning and definitely looking like your having fun”
A fourth penned in response: “Have a lovely time xx.”
The broadcaster shares a young daughter with her partner.
However, she doesn’t post photos of them or give insight into their lives together very often.
Elsewhere, Steph recently confirmed she’d be making a return to the BBC soon.
This autumn, she’ll be starring in a documentary series for BBC Two.
Called Walking with… Steph McGovern, the presenter revealed the news on her Instagram recently.
She shared some pictures of her filming in Yorkshire as she admitted her excitement for the series.
Alongside these, she penned: “Spent the day filming a show in The Yorkshire Dales on Monday.
“I walked round Littondale in the sunshine for 7 hours.
“All I had to do was carry a little camera on a stick and then walk round talking to myself and any people I met along the way!” (sic)
“Will be on the telly in the Autumn called ‘Walking with….Steph McGovern’ BBC Two,” she added.
