I paid $1,410 for used Kardashian clothes – Kim's dress was frayed & barely covered my modesty
AFTER spending $1,410 on used clothes from the Kardashian sisters' closets, a woman was shocked by the poor quality of one piece, while other items in her haul were surprisingly wearable.
YouTube personality Hope Allen shared her unboxing and styling process for items she purchased from the closets of Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner.
She scored the finds on the website Kardashian Kloset, which resells luxury goods owned by Kim, Kourtney, Kendall, Khloé, Kylie, and Kris.
In total, she spent $1,410 on this particular haul and received a dress, a pair of pants, an embellished skirt, and a two-piece set.
Allen's goal was to recreate the Kardashians' original outfits using a combination of their authentic pre-owned pieces, paired with inexpensive items from her own closet and fast-fashion brands.
"If I buy one of these items, and then put together the exact same look that the Kardashians had, am I gonna feel more fabulous?" Allen asked. "Am I gonna feel more confident?"

The first item in Allen's haul came directly from Kendall's closet: neon-green pants from brand Saks Potts.
Allen paid $295 for the pants, which originally retailed for $350.
"It's all of my Lizzie McGuire dreams movie come true," a delighted Allen said as she opened the package.
When Kendall wore the pants to a Brit Awards afterparty, she paired them with a matching top, which Allen was able to find on clearance at Selfridges.

To match the iconic inspiration photo, Allen added a silver purse, translucent heels with silver embellishments, and a half-up-half-down hairstyle that screamed 1990s.
Next, Allen unwrapped a dress from the brand Are You Am I. The slinky slip cost $195 and came directly from Kim's closet.
"I think this might be the cheapest thing that I've ever gotten from Kim's closet," Allen said as she opened the packaging.
Once she had the dress in hand, Allen seemed confused.
"Kim, what is this? Did North sew this?" she asked.
Examining frayed hems and off-kilter seams, Allen wasn't impressed, and said the dress looked "fine" from far away but not up close.
When she tried it on, Allen's disappointment only grew.
"This is clearly not the dress that I thought that I was getting," Allen said, showing off the too-short hemline.
Even pairing the skimpy dress with jewelry and heels didn't rescue the look.
After a second assessment, Allen said that it might be the same dress Kim was pictured wearing, but "somebody aggressively took a pair of scissors to the bottom."
Moving on to a pick from Kylie's closet, Allen stayed with the same creamy color scheme, but chose a two-piece denim jacket and skirt set.
She paid $325 for the Eckhaus Latta set, which retailed for $600 brand new.
Opening the package, Allen pulled a strand of hair off the outfit, which her husband Tyler jokingly referred to as "Kylie DNA."
The outfit was a perfect fit, and when Allen added chunky sneakers and a bandeau top, she was thrilled with the outfit and the photos she snapped in it.
Finally, Allen returned to Kim's closet for one more major purchase: a $595 embellished skirt from Annie's Ibiza x Clio Peppiatt.
The elaborate, jeweled skirt featured a mesh overlay with a bright red and orange dragon, and originally retailed for $630.
"It looks a little tiny," Allen admitted as she opened the package.
"I didn't realize it's a dragon, that's so cool."
To recreate Kim's paparazzi shots, Allen added a fitted black cardigan and red peep-toe heels. She even broke out a dark wig to replicate Kim's long hair in paparazzi shots.

Allen warmed to the outfit quickly – and when she stepped outside to take street style photos, her adoring public reacted in kind.
"This outfit was a neck-breaker for every person who walked or drove by," Allen said, adding that people on the street told her she looked beautiful. "It's a look!"
