The Duchess of Sussex wore pastel colours today as she stepped out in Germany. Her ensemble was made up of a white halter neck top and a pair of high-waisted pleated trousers.
Meghan’s sleeveless top had a high neck and was tight, showing off her toned arms.
She matched this with a blush pink pair of pleated trousers, which were cinched at the waist with a thick belt.
The white-ribbed turtle-neck style top was the Anine Bing Kylin Sweater in Ivory.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s trousers were the £1,040 Brandon Maxwell Belted pleated wool-blend twill wide-leg pants.
Although the Duchess looked ravishing, a fashion expert noted Meghan could have implemented a tiny change to her outfit to make it look a little smarter.
Since her top was made of a thick material, it gathered in rolls just above her trousers.
Miranda Holder said: “I feel the top would have worked better if it was a body, which would have provided a sleeker silhouette.”
Meghan would have been able to tuck a tighter, body-fitting top or bodysuit more neatly into her trousers.
Miranda went on to say that Meghan “appeared in her trademark white in Germany today”.
The Duchess is often seen in white or neutral colours.
The fashion expert continued: “She channelled a contemporary and ‘off duty Californian chic’ look that is in keeping with her new laid back west coast aesthetic.
“The wide leg trousers are very now, the super wide leg together with the high waist is generally flattering on Meghan’s frame, adding lots of swish and a little drama.
“However, they would have been even more complementary if they had been flat-fronted rather than pleated, which does add a little bulk.”
Miranda added that she loved the “style sandwich” Meghan wore, as she chose “an on-trend white vest top and white heels with the beige trousers in the middle”.
“Meghan has always been a fan of neutrals and they exude an effortless style,” the fashion expert said.
The Duchess’ hair was styled in an on-trend updo and her make-up look was subtle.
She opted for a bronzed, dewy look, as well as a sweep of black eyeliner.
Completing the look, she chose a subtle pink lipstick which complemented her trousers.
Royal fans were quick to take to social media to praise Meghan’s look.
Twitter user @anastacey310 called her a “fashion icon”, saying: “Meghan’s style is unmatched to any royal woman. Absolutely fabulous.”
Instagram user @franceszwei added: “Contemporary, modern, trendsetter.”
