Mel Watts – from Central Coast, Australia – told her Instagram followers that the unusual treatment left three-year-old Indie's skin "so smooth".

Absolutely amazed that with the first event in Sydney is in less than 11 days we have sold nearly every ticket with on a small handful left! Some maybe seen that @rubytuesdaymatthews had to unfortunately pull out of the Sydney panel and Miss (and much requested) @julescoffey_ will be replacing her. Obviously some people may be a little disappointed about not seeing Rubz but it’s out of my control. If there are any issues feel free to DM and we can go from there! I want to ensure all of you who are coming you will leave feeling like you’ve got your shit together, you will know that you matter and most importantly you’ll be in an all day event with a room full of like minded women. We’ll laugh. We’ll cry but most importantly we’ll know that our feelings matter and even when we go through some shady moments it doesn’t need to define us. Working closely with @sharethedignityaustralia throughout this we will have donation boxes available at each event where we can donate items needed by vulnerable women. See IG stories for more!

According to Kidspot, Indie has had skin problems since she was around three-months-old.

Mel had tried everything from taking her to doctors and specialists to putting her on dairy-free and gluten-free diets and using various creams.

After learning she was suffering from childhood eczema and psoriasis, she got Indie to follow a strict routine of bleach baths and steroid creams.

But she turned to breast milk after hearing a friend talking about how it can soothe eczema.

Indie was so excited to have a bath in “boobie milk” …… I mean you try everything right? Taking breastmilk donations…. Yes…. it’s not my breastmilk cause that’ll be well and truly stale lol. Add: I don’t actually need your milk as I have a supplier up here ? but try it in the bath for your babes, her skin is so smooth!!

She later told Kidspot that instead of trying to cure the eczema, she was simply hoping to ease the dryness of Indie's skin during Australian winter.

She said the toddler "came out super smooth" after she "just sat in it for a while".

Matchy Matchy – OKAY! Whilst Indie is obsessed with me during the hours of 1130pm and 430 am I figured we better look cute whilst we’re both up. Mother’s Day cute gift idea! Cutest matching PJ’s from @bigwaustralia @disneyaunz #ad

But unfortunately for the 33-year-old, not everyone was convinced by the method.

One person commented on Instagram: "Well that's just stupid and very unsanitary."

Another wrote: "Bathing in it isn't a necessity although it looks fun and may have perks. I just see more benefit for a child who drinks it."

However, she also received plenty of support from other mums.

"Boobie milk fixes everything! I used to put it on my little ones skin in their eyes anything that needed fixing," commented one.

Another added: "I used to put it in a spray bottle and just spray it straight onto my little man's skin."
