Nike Bolsters the Air Force 1 GORE-TEX Lineup with Two Sturdy, Stately Styles
Nike has bolstered its fall 2020 Air Force 1 GORE-TEX lineup with two new colorways: “Baroque Brown” and “Medium Olive/Deepest Green.” Offering autumnal tones for a stately look, each pair mixes classic Swoosh style with advanced, weather-proof GORE-TEX technology for an elevated take on Nike Sportswear‘s most well-known model.
Construction is split between tightly-woven textiles on the midfoot, toebox and tongue and rich leather on mudugards, eyestays, heels and Swooshes. “Baroque Brown” keeps things simple with a full brown build that’s lighter on the textiles and darker on the leather, while “Medium Olive/Deepest Green” spruces things up a touch with ultra-dark green shades on the heel that gradually become lighter on the midfoot and forefoot. Living up to its name, each pair is lined with a water-resistant GORE-TEX membrane.
Large GORE-TEX spellout graphics are embroidered on each shoe’s lateral half, and tongues feature a leather patch with a GORE-TEX hit. Standard Air Force 1 branding remains on the heel. On the “Baroque Brown” all of these pieces are done up in gold, while “Medium Olive/Deepest Green” uses them as an opportunity to further its assemblage of fir tones. Lace deubres are discarded entirely, and both makeups equip a sail midsole. “Baroque Brown” completes its look with a brown outsole, and “Medium Olive/Deepest Green” goes tonal with the outsole for a finishing touch.
The Air Force 1 GORE-TEX “Baroque Brown” and “Medium Olive/Deepest Green” are both available on the Nike webstore now. Each is priced at $150 USD.
