Stacey Solomon admits kids are not keeping up with work while homeschooling & reassures mums it's ok to ‘do their best’
MILLIONS of parents are now faced with homeschooling their kids after the nation goes on lockdown amid the coronavirus outbreak.
And Loose Women star Stacey Solomon, 30, admitted her kids are not keeping up with their school work at home, but reassured mums that it is ok to “do their best.”

The mum-of-three shared a photo of her two eldest boys – Zachary, 12, and Leighton, seven – around the kitchen table at breakfast this morning.
She added the caption: “School work is coming in thick and fast and we are NOT keeping up.
“It does make me feel anxious but I keep reminding myself we can only do what we can and try our best.
“Hope you’re all ok.”
Essex-based Stacey later added: “Home school is over for today. The boys are playing their games.
“I’m saying goodbye to pre-fixes and Spanish quiz’s and hello to a giant glass of coke. [sic].”
She also shared a video of her boys getting active doing Joe Wick’s popular PE lessons, which air every day live on YouTube at 9am and have racked up 9.2million views in total.
This follows a children’s mental health association advising that parents should avoid homeschooling their kids altogether during isolation to prevent arguments.
From Friday, UK schools shut their doors to help stop the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, leaving millions of kids at home full-time with their parents.
A statement from the Paediatric Mental Health Association said: “My advice to parents wanting to homeschool during the school shut down – don’t.
“It’s going to be stressful. If things get worse, you’re going to get stressed, your kids are going to be stressed.”
They added: “Don’t worry about them forgetting. Don’t stress about homeschooling them. Just spend time together.
“Your kids won’t learn as much if they are stressed. Though this is a scary time, it could very well be a time they remember as the best of their life.”
Instead of forcing kids to do eight hours of schooling, they advised parents “cuddle up” to their kids, read books, make forts, do puzzles, bake, paint and watch TV together.
However, in contrast with the statement, which has racked up 50,000 shares, the government has said parents should encourage as much educational activity at home as is possible.
Schools had been preparing for a shut down for some time, with some creating homework packs or setting up ways of working online.
As well as homework provided by individual schools, the government is working with the BBC to develop resources to keep children stimulated and some e-learning platforms are free resources.

Earlier this week, Stacey admitted that she was "s***ing" herself after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced plans to put the UK in lockdown.
