But if you always find you over do it and pour too much of the good stuff, don't worry – it turns out there's a simple solution.

One clever foodie shared their hack on TikTok and it's a bit of a game changer.

Pouring vinegar straight from the bottle might be the most obvious method, but it's not the best.

There's nothing worse than being left with a puddle of vinegar at the bottom of your bowl and soggy chips.

So it's no surprise the food fan, called Kristen, (@drowningabovewater94) was so impressed by the simple hack.

She filmed herself using a spray bottle to spritz vinegar over her chips to get the perfect amount.

Sharing the clever trick on TikTok, Kristen raved: "From now on this is the only way I will be putting vinegar on my fries."

Not only did the spray bottle mean she didn't ruin her grub by pouring out too much, but they were all evenly coated too.

Fellow food fans were obsessed with the condiment trick and couldn't wait to give it a go for themselves.

One said: "Wait why didn't I think of this?"

A second commented: "I've always thought vinegar should be in a spray bottle."
