Cats cast net worth

Idris Elba playing Macavity – £19.9m

Macavity the Mystery Cat, also called the Hidden Paw, is a cat who is also a criminal and is able to send just one cat to heaven.

According to the musical he is a very bad cat, but is also the only cat to have mystical powers.

Rebel Wilson playing Jennyanydots £12.8m

Australian actress Rebel is playing this principle character who has enslaved mice and cockroaches to crocheting.

She can also tap-dance, and has taught cockroaches to tap dance too.

Judi Dench playing Old Deuteronomy – £28m

Originally a male cat, Judi has turned her hand to this role, the oldest cat in the group.

This is the cat who makes the choice as to which cat should be sent to heaven by Macavity.

Old Deuteronomy is very old indeed, claiming to have been alive before Queen Victoria.

Ian McKellen playing Gus The Theatre Cat – £44m

Gus The Theatre Cat is, unsurprisingly, an actor. He’s had quite the career, apparently playing a tiger and also the role of a famous pirate cat, Growltiger.

James Corden playing Bustopher Jones – £9.6m

Bustopher Jones is a ‘cat about town’ and wears a suit with a red flower in the lapel.

He enjoys visiting gentlemen’s clubs and is pretty fat.

Taylor Swift playing Bombalurina – £287m

Bombalurina is a flirty can who has a thing for another feeling Rum Tum Tugger. She wears a spiky collar and is a red cat with black spots n the original musical.

Ray Winstone playing Growltiger £4m

In the Cats mythology Growltiger is a fictional pirate cat. He lives on a barge and only has one eye and one ear.

The story of his live and death is told in a song, called “Growltiger’s Last Stand”.

Jennifer Hudson playing Grizabella – £16m

This is the cat that sings the famous “Memory” the best known song from the show.

She’s an old cat with a lacklustre appearance, clearly at death’s door.

Responses to the musical’s trailer have been mixed.

One wrote: “I can’t get past the still photos from the new Cats trailer. They are absolutely frightening. Nightmare inducing. It’s like they decided to get Dr. Moreau to direct it. Fuck that noise. Give me the creepy clown in IT instead. At least you expect the creepy clown to be terrifying.”

Another said: “After watching the trailer for Cats, I can’t look at my cats the same anymore.”

“Are you guys excited for taylor swift to get an oscar nomination for cats?” another said.

The new Cats trailer gives a glimpse into how director Tom Hooper will bring the iconic show to the big screen.
