EXCLUSIVE: Former screen siren Dyan Cannon, 86, holds hands with a male companion as she makes a rare outing in LA – days before premiering new TV show that will delve into her marriage to acting legend Cary Grant

Former screen siren Dyan Cannon, 86, was spotted holding hands with a mystery man during a rare outing in Los Angeles – as she prepares to debut a brand new series that will delve into her star-studded marriage to Cary Grant. 

Photographers caught the actress, who was married to the Hollywood leading man from 1965 to 1968 and went on to become a top movie star in her own right throughout the ’70s and ’80s, out for a stroll in West Hollywood on Tuesday with an unidentified male companion.

The 86-year-old dressed comfortably as she walked hand-in-hand with her pal, donning a long-sleeved black top and baggy, white cloth overalls.

She paired the look with some black Nike sneakers, a Maison Scotch sun hat, large sunglasses, and two black handbags, one that she held on her shoulder and another that she draped across her body.

The spotting comes as she prepares to debut a brand new series that will delve into her star-studded marriage to Cary Grant 

The actress was married to the Hollywood leading man from 1965 to 1968 and together, they welcomed a daughter, named Jennifer, in 1966 


In 2011, Dyan (seen this week) released a memoir, entitled Dear Cary: My Life with Cary Grant, which chronicled her relationship with the actor and is now being turned into a show

Dyan, who left her blonde locks in loose curls around her face, chatted with her mysterious counterpart as they enjoyed some fresh air together with her two dogs. 

He was all smiles, while Dyan seemed slightly more somber.

She also wore two black handbags, one that she held on her shoulder and another that she draped across her body. 

He opted for a bright blue Blockbuster T-shirt, navy shorts, a black cap,  black sneakers, and yellow and blue socks that went up to his calves. 

Dyan tied the knot with English actor Cary, who is best known for being Alfred Hitchcock’s go-to star, in 1965 – when she was 28 and just starting out as an actress and he was 61 and at the height of his career. 

She was his fourth wife – he was previously married to actress Virginia Cherrill from 1934 to 1935, socialite Barbara Hutton from 1942 to 1945, and starlet Betsy Drake from 1949 to 1962.

Together, they welcomed a daughter, named Jennifer, together in 1966, before divorcing in 1968.

Following their split, Cary wed a publicist 47 years his junior, named Barbara Harris, in 1981. They were together up until he died of a stroke in 1986 at age 82.

She went on to wed a real estate investor named Stanley Fimberg in 1985, but they split in 1991.

Dyan, originally from Tacoma, Washington, started her career off as a model and beauty pageant queen before she made her film debut in 1960 in The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond.
