Percival seems to be the menswear brand of the moment, with a legion of celebrity fans from Normal People’s Paul Mescal to football legend Gareth Southgate.

And now the brand has released a brand new line of limited-edition football shirts, just in time for the lighter nights and promise of al fresco evenings on the horizon.

The Hackney-born brand has released The Football Edit – a series of loud and proud funky shirts in bold prints that have become synonymous with the brand.

Teaming up with Football Ramble – a London podcast that celebrates all things football with a heavy dose of humour – Percival’s new range is an ode to the beautiful game.

While short-sleeved shirts from Percival usually start at around £109, shoppers can pick up these limited edition football tees for as little as £45 – a total bargain for an A-List celebrity-approved brand.

It’s no surprise that the brand has pivoted in this direction, considering that one of its all-time bestsellers is the Waterproof Sherlock rain jacket, worn by none other than football royalty Gareth Southgate during the Euros 2021.

After the success of the Sherlock, Gareth actually ended up getting involved with the brand, designing a range of items including a woollen suit, smart polos and a signature polka-dot tie.

Gareth said of the collaboration: ‘I am very proud to support Chris and the team at Percival and help celebrate a fantastic young English company who design all their clothes in England.’

In the brand’s latest range, you’ll find classic white T-shirts with cheeky catchphrases such as ‘That’s what football will do to ya’, and ‘I’ve just done the best step-over this club has ever seen’, as well as more abstract prints.

Percival’s ethos revolves around creating timeless pieces that will last, which shoppers can wear season after season. The focus is classic cuts, using high-quality materials.
