Giant spider ‘attacks’ Australian space telescope
It’s an arachnophobe’s worst nightmare come true.
A security camera fixed on the giant antenna at Canberra’s Deep Space Communications Complex caught a terrifying spider “attack” this week when a giant huntsman spider crawled across the lens.
The effect was chilling – making it look like the giant arachnid was dwarfing the 34-meter wide deep space antenna.
“When mission scientists decided to put images from Mars on the World Wide Web, we don’t think this is what they had in mind,” the Canberra Deep Space Network tweeted, according to 9 News Australia.
