Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson QUIT Twitter after trolling: 'I couldn’t deal with people saying things about my kids'
Kieron and Carl have two kids together, Phoebe and Chase, who they welcomed on May 22, 2017, via surrogacy, and had originally planned on adding to their brood straight away.
However the soap star told OK! magazine in 2019: “We were going to have another straight away, but I don’t think anything prepared us for having two babies at once, so we’ve put the brakes on it!
“With surrogacy, you go from a full night’s sleep to ‘You’ve got two kids, now do it.’”
Carl continued: “Once the kids get a bit more self-sufficient, we’ll look at having another one. As long as we don’t get a couple of ‘three-nagers’! We say another ‘one’, but we’ll probably end up with twins again!”
The actor and his other half documented their first few weeks as new parents in a Channel 4 documentary and shared a sweet image of the babies watching Hollyoaks just after they were born.
Kieron and his husband opened about life as same-sex parents in the recent documentary, Raised By Queers.
During the documentary, Raised by Queers, Kieron talked viewers through the exciting months ahead of the twins' birth, along with the struggles he and husband Carl have faced due to being same-sex parents.
With the birth filmed for the documentary, the Hollyoaks actor said: "In that moment right there, our lives had changed forever."
Excitedly speaking out about how he felt, he admitted: "I feel like words you could never describe in a million years. It's the most surreal experience ever."
The pair often share sweet snaps of their family life as their twins grow, sharing a look at their home with their kids taking over the space.
In one snap Kieron shared his idea for the Christmas decorations, as Phoebe and Chase stood on the blue sofa.
"My weird obsession with matching the sofa to the xmas tree has begun…imz and kay @bossfurnitureuk must wait for the call every year, we started with the grey then dusty pink and from doing abit of pinterest, blues are in so little hint for this year's tree… I know you look forward to the post every year @rachelhardypr so get ready (ps I will let you get halloween out the way first)"

In the living room the couple have a chic looking fireplace that is underneath their television which is fixed to the wall.
Shortly after the twins were born, Kieron said that he and Carl had to baby-proof the feature: "BABYPROOFED THE FIRE SURROUND (it will never be on either) now baby gates/cupboard locks and any safer options ppl suggest etc…..prob say goodbye to cream carpets too."
The couple, who held an impressive first birthday party for the twins, had a lowkey celebration during lockdown for their third birthday which included an appearance from Spider-Mad as the visitor clambered on the roof of the house.
After lockdown measures were eased for travel, the family of four jetted off to Croatia for a vacation before Kieron was back on set filming for Hollyoaks.
"After a year away Ste is back in a tracksuit and I couldn't be more happy to see what's to come," the actor wrote in the caption alongside a snap of him getting into character.
Hollyoaks is Kieron's longest stint on a programme, but has also appeared on Heartbeat, and partnered with Brianne Delcourt on Dancing on Ice in 2010 placing third.
