Well, this is awkward.
Hollywood’s hottest stars flocked to Michael Rubin’s exclusive Fourth of July party in the Hamptons Monday — but the event’s all-white dress code led to a fashion faux pas for fellow Kanye West exes Kim Kardashian and Chaney Jones.
Kardashian, 42, showed up wearing a sheer white Alaïa crop top ($1,860) and matching skirt, while 24-year-old Jones attended in the dress version ($4,320) of the same look.
An eagle-eyed fan pointed out the style snafu on Reddit, with a community member commenting, “Stop!!! We need to see pics of them together … kim must be dying knowing that her ex husband’s ex girlfriend is outshining her. Her kryptonite is not getting any attention!”
Added another follower, “Now I need for Bianca to wear it at the same party as Julia Fox just so I can enjoy the messy ship drama.”
Pointing to West’s penchant for styling his romantic partners, a third wrote, “Maybe Kanye dressed them both… separately without telling one another.”
And a fourth chimed in with, “Wow Kimmy? Being seen in the same outfit as someone else?? How could this possibly happen?? Someone is getting fired for NOT working! Lmao,” referencing the Skims founder’s infamous quote about women in the workplace.
Others called the matching moment “literally tragic,” “embarrassing” and “hilarious.”
The “Kardashians” star, who styled her set with a silver belly chain, showed off her outfit on Lori Harvey’s TikTok account.
She joined sister Kendall Jenner and friends Harvey, Hailey Bieber and Justine Skye for an impromptu fashion show, with the group dancing to Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Aqua’s “Barbie World” in their all-white ensembles.
Meanwhile, Jones showed off her sexy look from all angles on Instagram Tuesday.
“Didn’t Kim just wear something similar???” a follower joked in the comments.
“Ye’s exes on the same wavelength it seems,” another added.

Kardashian filed for divorce from West in early 2021, and the rapper dated Jones the following year, with many calling the model a Kim K. lookalike. The pair broke up in June.
In addition to sharing the “same face,” as one Reddit user joked, Kardashian and Jones seem to favor similar second-skin styles and sporty accessories.
Word is still out on whether the duo encountered each other at the party, but we’d like to think they took their twinning moment in good humor.
