Victoria Adams shows head massage for thicker longer hair

Royal fans frequently gush over Princess Kate’s gorgeous brunette locks, commenting on her perfect waves, full volume and stunning up-dos.

Her gorgeous hair is largely thanks to her long-time hair stylist Amanda Cook Tucker, who started working with the Duchess back in 2012.

A TikTok video shared by Miranda Holder, a celebrity stylist and fashion coach who posts videos under the username @themirandaholder, went through three of Amanda’s hair stylist essentials.

She said: “How to get hair like Kate, secrets revealed! Hands up who would love hair like Kate Middleton? Well now we can get one step closer because her fabulous travelling hairstylist Amanda cook Tucker has revealed some of the products she keeps in her stylist bag just for Princess Catherine.

“The best thing about it is that all of the items are easily available and affordable.

The first of these is Kiehl’s Creme with Silk Groom. Miranda said this product “adds shine and keeps everything in its place”.

Kiehl’s describes the product as a “a favourite amongst stylists”, with the product offering moisture, protection and a conditioning layer, without appearing greasy.

The hair creme retails for £30.50 typically for a 200ml bottle, though at the time of writing, is on sale for £22.87 on the Kiehl’s website.

Next, is the Mason Pearson Handy Brush. Miranda explained: “This brand is a British institution. Their brushes are iconic.”

The brushes were first designed in 1920, and though the basics of the hairbrush have remained largely the same, the brand has expanded its range to provide custom bristles with various hair types in mind.

For example, the Handy Sensitive Hairbrush has six rings of fine boar bristle tufts designed specifically for fine hair, or for those experiencing hair loss or thinning.

The Handy Boar Bristle Hairbrush uses six rings of stiff boar bristle tufts to inject the illusion of volume into fine hair and helps to fight flyaways and frizz.

Brushes in the Handy Hairbrush range vary in price depending on the design, starting at £62 for the Handy Nylon Hairbrush.

Finally, to hold her work in place, Kate Middleton’s hair stylist opts for a much-loved hairspray which can be bought for less than £10.

In her video, Miranda explained: “Finally, everyone’s favourite, good old L’Oreal Elnett hairspray to keep her work in its place.” L’Oreal describes Elnett as its “iconic gold hairspray with long-lasting, natural hold.”

The hairspray range, which has been used for generations, has expanded over the years to include specialist products aimed at adding shine, offering more volume or flexibility and providing heat protection.

L’Oreal has also added a fragrance-free hairspray to the range for those sensitive to scented products. Price points vary, but the original 400ml L’Oreal Elnett for hold and shine is typically available from Boots for £6.70. However, at the time of writing, Boots is offering a sale price of £5.00.

Miranda’s TikTok video has amassed 16.3k likes and 118 comments, with many viewers sharing their opinion on Amanda Cook Tucker’s choice of products.

Emilia Irizarry said: “I own the brush Happy with it.” Another commenter named Cale’s Mom said she has. Been using “Ellnet for decades.”

However, other commenters were quick to highlight the price points of certain products. A user named Estrella said: “Man, the Kiehl’s Creme is $90 US dollars, not ordinarily inexpensive.”

Manns643 added: “She married into the Royal Family so has limitless amounts of money to spend plus her hairdressers and stylists.”
