Katie Pipers extravagant birthday party for daughter including tarantulas and snakes
Model Katie Piper threw an extravagant birthday party for her nine year old daughter complete with a load of creepy crawlies and snakes.
The party kicked off with a visit from events company Rockys Animals, which is a travelling zoo full of everything from hedgehogs and goats to bearded dragons and tortoises.
It seems Katie, who recently participated in a body positivity campaign, and her daughter were keen on snakes and spiders most of all, however, as Katie posted snaps on her Instagram story of her and her daughter handling a large tarantula and even having an orange snake wrapped around her arms.
The star joked that it was a “new experience” for her but showed no fear as she smiled for the cameras.
After the animal experience it looks like the bash wound down into a more civilised affair as the group went for a nice meal.
Katie shared with her one million Instagram followers that she had employed the help of events company Posh Picnics to create an “indoor picnic” for her daughter and her friends.
The environmentally conscious model also noted that all of the items included for the meal were reusable and that she had been sure to avoid single use plastic.
The table was decorated with wooden bunnies, leaves and small plants to bring the natural world inside for the kids.
The indoor picnic was just for the kids as Katie joked that they were all happy to be sat far away from the supervising adults.
Katie’s daughter Belle was also treated to a large, two tier green and brown cake, which was decorated to look like a tree, with tiny mushrooms and hedgehogs at the bottom.
“Belle” was written in bright gold across the top of the cake, which had several candles on top for the nine year old to blow out.
Katie, who recently faced controversy over her comments about a TikTok trend, also treated her daughter to a balloon arch with sage green, white and light brown balloons for her and her friends to pose for pictures in front of.
The privacy conscious model, however, put emojis in front of her daughter’s face in the pics she shared in order to protect her from social media.
After celebrating with Belle, Katie shared that she had unwound with a hot bath only to realise halfway through that she had forgotten to wash her daughter’s school uniform!
