Politician Jess Phillips shared her delight after she was the answer to a question on last night’s University Challenge.
The question, correctly answered by Strathclyde, was: ‘Elected MP for Birmingham Yardley in 2015, who wrote Everywoman: One Woman’s Truth About Speaking the Truth?’
In response Mrs Phillips took to Twitter to share: ‘OMG!! I WAS JUST A QUESTION ON UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE!!! My husband got it before me. #lifegoals.’
The question, correctly answered by Strathclyde, was: ‘Elected MP for Birmingham Yardley in 2015, who wrote Everywoman: One Woman’s Truth About Speaking the Truth?’

The post was met with some criticism by trolls, who accused Mrs Phillips of bragging. However others defended the MP’s excitement and said they were ‘jealous’ to get the shout out from Jeremy Paxman on the famed BBC Two show.
The question refers to Mrs Phillips’ 2017 book, which calls on women to ‘demand to be heard, deal with imposter syndrome’ and be ‘doers not sayers’.
The correct answer formed part of a dominant performance by Strathclyde, who triumphed over Imperial College London 190-155.
The victorious team answered questions on a broad range of subjects but failed to answer a question correctly in a round about popular rap music.
Another series of University Challenge got underway last month as the teams compete to be crowned champion.

Last week viewers rejoiced as the Open University beat Linacre College, Oxford on the BBC Two show.
The team from the Open University, who had an average age of 52, beat the post-graduate Oxford college 210 to 140 leaving fans overjoyed at the underdogs’ win.
Oxford University is ranked number one in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and is notoriously hard to get into.

Meanwhile, most Open University courses don’t have entry requirements and are designed for students of any age – many of whom work full-time alongside their studies.
The OU team, lead by engineering student Jill Taylor from Riddlesden, Yorkshire, answered questions on literature, composers and chemistry to advance to the second round of the show.
And viewers at home were very excited about the win, saying they were routing for the inclusive institution, which has more than 174,000 students making it the UK’s largest University.
