Lad spends £12k on plastic surgery after being humiliated at job interview

A 26-year-old Vietnamese man has claimed he underwent a plastic surgery makeover after being laughed at during a job interview because of his looks.

TikTok user Đỗ Quyền shared photos of what he claims is his former self before undergoing nine plastic surgery procedures.

It's not hard to see why some people have been left shocked as he looks like a completely different person – from the shape of his face to his eyes and nose.

He claims that he resorted to plastic surgery after trying to get a job and being laughed at by the interviewer, because of his unattractive looks.

Đỗ has had to deal with a lot of scepticism from people over the before and after photos though, as some can't believe it's really him.

The TikTok user currently works as a make-up artist in Saigon, and told his online followers that he spent an estimated 400 million dong (£12,500) on nine major plastic surgeries, including rhinoplasty, chin implants, porcelain veneers, lip reshaping, double eyelid surgery and lip implants.

Talking about why he turned to plastic surgery, Đỗ said that his "inferior" looks made it hard for him to get a job, and after being ridiculed by a potential employer during a job interview, he decided it was time to make a change.

He said he funded the cosmetic procedures from his own savings.

According to OddityCentral, the lad said: “The first time I came home after plastic surgery, my parents did not recognise me.

“I expected as much, but I still could not hold back my tears.”

The make-up artist regularly posts photos of and videos of himself on Instagram and TikTok, which include transition clips which emphasise his dramatic transformation.

Despite some criticism, Đỗ Quyền says has no regrets about turning to plastic surgery, and tells his followers that they should all do whatever makes them feel comfortable.

He said: “Always be strong and find the beauty that you are most confident in.

“The standard of beauty for me is that when you look at yourself in the mirror and you feel satisfied and confident.”
