Sevyn Streeter Lights Up The Stage At The First Ever ESSENCE Beauty Carnival

She came, she saw, she slayed.

There’s no better way to describe the energy that blanketed the room when R&B starlet Sevyn Streeter hit the stage at the first-ever ESSENCE Beauty Carnival in NYC.

“I love this event because it’s just full of really strong, badass women,” Sevyn said just before hitting the stage.

Outfitted in a black and red leather crop jacket with a matching bralette and pants, the multi-talented songstress turned the crowd up to the max as she ran through several fan-favorites from her latest projects.

A consummate entertainer, Sevyn never missed a beat and kept the packed crowd rocking right along with her while belting out a stream of music from her impressive catalog including “It Won’t Stop” from 2013’s Call Me Crazy EP, “My Love For You” from 2017’s Girl Disrupted album and “Yearnin” from her forthcoming project, Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz.

Following her performance, the award-winning singer/songwriter made her way to the VIP for meet & greets with her biggest fans and even shared a heartfelt exchange with fellow R&B beauty, Ciara, backstage.

“Nothing is better than the unity and the feeling of a bunch of Black women just loving on each other and speaking life into each other,” she added.

Day 1 of ESSENCE Beauty Carnival was definitely lit, but per usual, Sevyn set the tone…and tore down the stage…like no other.
