Viral Area 51 ‘raid’ getting big celebrity boost

Everyone wants to “see them aliens” — even internet celebrities.

When a Facebook event planning a “raid” on Area 51 popped up online, more than 1 million people pledged their online support to see what goes on in the mysterious military base.

The joke attack is set to take place on Sept. 20.

Area 51 is a centerpiece of government conspiracy theories — many believe it’s where the feds hide any evidence of extraterrestrial life.

A reminder: Don’t actually try this at home, kids. The hype has gotten so big, the military actually responded: “[Area 51] is an open training range for the US Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces,” said USAF spokeswoman Laura McAndrews to the Washington Post.

Now, celebrities are joining in on the joke.

“Juice” singer Lizzo thinks the aliens will look as beautiful as she does.

“Old Town Road” country singer and king of memes Lil Nas X joked that he would make another (it would be the fourth!) remix of his hit song, focused on the raid.

Action-flick star Danny Trejo shared an image of him from the “Machete” movies. Hopefully, the props department will let him borrow the weapon for the raid.

Father of two Kevin Jonas (or whoever is running his Twitter page) showed he is #cool like the #kids on #socialmedia.

Walmart yodeling kid Mason Ramsey apparently has a contact inside Area 51 already.

The “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah covered the raid on his show.

“And let’s be clear. A million people aren’t going to storm Area 51. A million people responded on Facebook,” reminded Noah. “Which means seven people are going to storm Area 51.”

Comedian Desus Nice wants to make peace with the ETs inside.

Youtube makeup sensation Jeffrey Star thinks he is already one with the aliens.

“Game of Thrones” star Liam Cunningham is ready to fight.

Queen of Twitter Chrissy Teigan has yet to respond. This post will be updated when she does.
