Would it be wrong to contact a work colleague and say I miss seeing her around?

DEAR DEIDRE: I WANT to contact a colleague on social media and say I miss seeing her around now we are working from home, but I don’t know if it is the right thing to do.

We didn’t ever get the chance to talk at work and I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable. I am 19 and she is 18.

I started to become attracted to her at the beginning of the year and while we worked in different teams, there were plenty of signs she felt the same way.

I fear I might have missed my chance of anything happening between us.

DEIDRE SAYS: There’s no harm in sending her a friendly message. You could ask how she has found working from home.

Her response will give you a clue as to how she feels.

Good luck!
